“Less is more” often refers to quality over quantity or being classy, elegant or minimalist… I can be a classy lady as well, but that doesn’t mean that I ALWAYS want to be that. There are times to be “elegant” or even boring, BUT everyone shall be able to let loose sometimes. Wearing those insanely high heels, booking a flight the same day as departure or ordering ALL desserts on the menu…
I once got a T-shirt from my sister saying, “All I want is everything”. She said she was thinking about me the minute she saw it! It is so true though, the only thing I really want is…EVERYTING! My whole life I struggled making choices; what cocktail shall I order, what dress shall I wear, where shall I travel next, what to eat tonight… It has never been a question of not having enough ideas or options. On the contrary the ideas come to me faster than the speed of light and the options are often overwhelming (especially for someone with a lot of FOMO). I simply couldn’t accept to make choices when I wanted it all.
People told me “you have to choose; you cannot do everything”. Making “sacrifices”, there is no word that makes me more demotivated. Miley Cyrus once said: “You can be anything and everything that you’ve ever wanted to be all at the same time. Everything that contradicts itself can coexist in harmony “.
I created &LessBags because I spent 9 years looking for a fuchsia pink laptop bag. It seemed that most options for people traveling with a laptop was a black or brown briefcase which was more adopted to the male buyer than for women. The reason why, may be because when you are spending 500 bucks on a high-quality leather bag, it is simply too risky to choose a bold colour because you might not ALWAYS want to have a pink bag.
